Help and Support

There are many sources of support and help for domestic violence victims, including both Voluntary and Statutory Agencies, some of which have workers who specialise in domestic violence, and provide a valuable network under the guardianship of the Domestic Violence Working Party.

Safety planning provides victims and their children with the reassurance that they can widen their network of protection, and recognise the dangers associated with domestic violence, to reduce the risk of further harm.

These plans can often be supported and developed with professional assistance, from other agencies who have established expertise in carrying out safety planning and risk assessments.
